Binance Places Four Tokens Under Watch, Strips 14 More From Its Alpha List

Binance moved against 18 tokens on Thursday in two separate actions: placing four cryptocurrencies under its “Monitoring Tag” warning system, and pulling 14 others entirely off its Alpha recommendation list.

AVA, Gains Network (GNS), Scroll (SCR) and Towns Protocol (TOWNS) all received the Monitoring Tag following Binance’s latest round of project reviews. The label doesn’t force an immediate delisting — the tokens remain fully tradable — but it signals that Binance sees them as carrying elevated risk and will now review them more closely, with the possibility of removal if they fall short of the exchange’s standards.

Binance didn’t specify what triggered concern for any individual project; its review process typically weighs trading volume and liquidity, ongoing development activity, network security, communication with the exchange, changes to token supply or tokenomics, and any signs of fraudulent or negligent conduct by a project’s team. Traders holding tagged assets on Binance’s spot or margin markets are generally required to retake a risk-awareness quiz every 90 days.

Separately, Binance Alpha — an early-access feature inside Binance Wallet for surfacing newer, less-established tokens — dropped 14 assets from its curated list, effective 4:30 p.m. Beijing time. The removed tokens include Multiple Network’s MTP, Bondex Token’s BDXN, PrompTale AI’s TALE, BitcoinOS’s BOS, Maiga.ai’s MAIGA, MetaArena’s TIMI, Saros, Union, SERAPH, REVIVE, AI Avatar, Nietzschean Penguin, Odos and Nebula3. Users can still withdraw or sell these tokens through Alpha’s interface, and — importantly — removal from Alpha is a separate process from a full delisting on Binance’s main spot exchange, which typically comes with its own deposit, withdrawal and trading deadlines that weren’t announced here.

The moves follow a familiar pattern for Binance, which pulled 20 other tokens from Alpha back in May and delisted six coins in August after several of them had spent time under a Monitoring Tag first. Binance retains full discretion over whether tagged tokens are eventually removed or cleared, and no timeline was given for the next review of AVA, GNS, SCR or TOWNS.
